As usernames tend to be, once you become known by them online it's hard to change them. When one is prolific in the review community, it's impossible to change. It seemed better than something pretentious like Peak Lord, or using my own name.

Have you never seen authors and artists? A subculture will always try and be known within that sub culture.

If novel fans could recognize him across sites it made life easier, it also made his words carry more weight behind them. But then, he had worked hard to gain the reputation he had and be a known a prolific reviewer that earned trust in his taste.

i don't know, i've never been attached to any one username. they're easy to change, i do it all the time
( this is true of both usernames and whatever moniker she happens to go by at any given time. )
peak lord wouldn't be the most egotistical username i've ever seen, if it makes you feel better
