Just trying to take a quick tally here, because it's relevant. How many people here have had previous encounters with worlds or dimensions that, uh... 'borrow' you for a while. Basically, is this your first ride in the multi-verse of fucked up stuff, or are you experienced. If the latter, what was the last place like?

I'll start. I'm David Alleyne, I spent several months in a city called Dualis. I heard from some people there that they'd previously been in other places. So I have to assume this just... happens.

Anyway, mostly asking because the more we know, maybe the better chance we have of getting home.

All the alien planets I've been on have been pretty hostile, too.

Well, beyond explosions, rebellions, and an implied disease that we never saw... Killer robots that looked like us.

Hostile planets aren't bad, you're always cautious on them. Places like this? Not sure

I dunno, I think I'd rather be cautious on any planet I don't know.

I don't know what that means in context, but it sounds awesome.

There are more than just humans on my Earth. But uh... Well, it means that it's my name among my race.

Oh you're from Earth too?

I'm not. But Etheria has all sorts of different people. Not just humans.
So I get that.

Last place I was had a far larger percentage of us from Earth than elsewhere.

All sorts of people as in they are actually distinct species?

Yeah.

They have animalistic features. Fur, or scales, or cat-claws and tails. Just to name a few.

I've been getting the sense that that is weird.

There are mutants like that back home too. So no, it's something i'd take in stride and consider my metaphorical brothers and sisters.

Are there a lot of degrees of separation on Earth, then?

[helpdesk_hero]

Not... really. Not on mine. though I guess one could argue that there are divisions based on people being pretty seriously judgmental based on socio-political borders and faulty perceptions of 'race'.

Even if I 'pass' as human because my mutation was more mental than physical, I still got grief because I am 'black'. You'd get problems even though you're 'white' because you're a woman.

Earth is SO behind.
