Just trying to take a quick tally here, because it's relevant. How many people here have had previous encounters with worlds or dimensions that, uh... 'borrow' you for a while. Basically, is this your first ride in the multi-verse of fucked up stuff, or are you experienced. If the latter, what was the last place like?

I'll start. I'm David Alleyne, I spent several months in a city called Dualis. I heard from some people there that they'd previously been in other places. So I have to assume this just... happens.

Anyway, mostly asking because the more we know, maybe the better chance we have of getting home.

So you've been in a situation sort of like this then. Not exactly this, but definitely kidnapped from your world.

Those places seem so hard to get out of. So how is it that these places can take us from other instances of these places?

Yeah, being replaced by an android? Not my goals.

To be fair I originally died... it feels a bit more acceptable when it's like that.

There doesn't really have to be a how or why, it just is. Since it's happened anyway why question it too much?

With the amount of people around here, someone's bound to be a handyman. I'll see if I can scrounge up a name or two in the coming days. I'm not one of them, sadly, but I can help with moving.

before this I was kicking it in a city called Duplicity for about a year and a half
there are a couple of us from there who ended up here from what I can tell

What was that place like?

Well, the place I came from was sure trying. My android, not completed, tried to kill me.

I'm a bit good at a lot of things. I'm hoping it will be useful. But I suppose my first concern should be as a doctor.

I'm a thinker. We always ask. That's how you know whether the AI that wants you to have sex is trying to actually kill you.

That's nothing. I've seen a lot worse back home. But I didn't have any weapons to protect myself with.

Only my mind. But that's a pretty serious one.

Same. But something tells me they won't be giving us our own ingredients. This place is all about control.

Clary Fray, and I spent about a day in another dimension once.
It was basically the same as mine, just... missing things. But it definitely tried to suck me in and keep me.

[ She wants to share information but also can't keep Alec's head out of her voice (and maybe a little of Jace's as well) telling her not to share anything about the Shadow World. Even here, it could be risky for the Downworlders and Shadowhunters alike.

But all bets are off the moment she starts trusting someone because she thinks it's stupid to keep it all under wraps back home. ]

That is rather fair. I suppose I just prefer to see how things go and take appropriate actions when the need arises.

[Less effort wasn't a good thing. Preventative is more important. Otherwise, you know, you get killed by robots that look like you. Paranoia has become his watch word.]

An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of remedy.

like yours but slightly different? That's a closer dimension to your home world. I've been through quite a lot of those for my earth. Then again, I didn't want to stay in those worlds.
