Just trying to take a quick tally here, because it's relevant. How many people here have had previous encounters with worlds or dimensions that, uh... 'borrow' you for a while. Basically, is this your first ride in the multi-verse of fucked up stuff, or are you experienced. If the latter, what was the last place like?

I'll start. I'm David Alleyne, I spent several months in a city called Dualis. I heard from some people there that they'd previously been in other places. So I have to assume this just... happens.

Anyway, mostly asking because the more we know, maybe the better chance we have of getting home.

I have a friend who is biokinetic. He was there, he brought me back to life.

That's really lucky. I'm glad he was there with you.

[ And though they don't really even know each other, Clary genuinely means that. People should die old and in bed after living a full, happy life. ]

Well, he was kidnapped with me and the others. So yes, almost lucky.

[The real luck was how the guy knew everything needed to cure what was wrong with David.]

Okay, yeah, that might be a bit of a strong word.
But hey, I know firsthand that getting kidnapped is a lot easier to deal with if you've got a friend at your side.

It was a very interesting situation to deal with. I... don't like remembering it very much. But at least I can say we're not in that hell dimension.

I cannot deny that it's strange. I cannot really give an answer as to why it's that way, either. But as I have forfeited my identity outside of the kingdom, I do consider it to be my origin now.

I'm afraid that's the only name I have to give.

It's fine. It's more... a privacy thing. But I didn't have to say anything. I don't blame you.

I assure you I will. But I've got a pretty strong tolerance for these things these days. Perhaps too much of one.

I'd offer to help you take it down a notch or two, but I'm not really sure how we'd do that.

It's not like I don't know what it's like to not have powers - mine aren't inborn. But I worked hard to get and keep my abilities, so excuse me for not liking the idea of having them stolen from me again!

I don’t even like the idea of how mine, genetic and completely born to me powers, were taken away. How I can’t get them again. I know the loss. The weight of it. I don’t need to excuse you, I’m too busy understanding you.
