Just trying to take a quick tally here, because it's relevant. How many people here have had previous encounters with worlds or dimensions that, uh... 'borrow' you for a while. Basically, is this your first ride in the multi-verse of fucked up stuff, or are you experienced. If the latter, what was the last place like?

I'll start. I'm David Alleyne, I spent several months in a city called Dualis. I heard from some people there that they'd previously been in other places. So I have to assume this just... happens.

Anyway, mostly asking because the more we know, maybe the better chance we have of getting home.

I'm not thrilled with the idea of going along with this place's plans, either, but it's likely that they'll force our hands sooner or later.

[ A joke, because Clary definitely doesn't know that about androids. Though why would she? It's not like she's personally familiar with them, outside of the limited interaction she's had with the robots here. ]

So basically sleep with one eye open and hope your best friend is actually your best friend...

It was worse, but when people were replaced they sort of... left the dorms we were in. You could tell. You could know who you lost.

At least that way you'd know for sure, I guess. Sometimes knowing the answer to the difficult questions is better than being left in limbo.

Though I'll have to admit, networks aren't my forte, unless we're talking more of piloting systems and the like.

With how many people you've got replying about different worlds, however, I wonder if stumbling into new people continuously would be a theme. We should have a welcome wagon.

If there's a welcome wagon, I definitely don't want involved in that. Meeting people was never my strong point.

So far I'm finding people from maybe two or three other places before this? It's hard to tell. No one else from where I was.

Depends on whether or not you're on Illyana's bad side or not. If you're in her good graces, then Limbo isn't so bad. But given I died there... I'll pass.

There are more than just humans on my Earth. But uh... Well, it means that it's my name among my race.

I'm not. But Etheria has all sorts of different people. Not just humans.
So I get that.

Last place I was had a far larger percentage of us from Earth than elsewhere.

All sorts of people as in they are actually distinct species?

Yeah.

They have animalistic features. Fur, or scales, or cat-claws and tails. Just to name a few.

I've been getting the sense that that is weird.

There are mutants like that back home too. So no, it's something i'd take in stride and consider my metaphorical brothers and sisters.

Are there a lot of degrees of separation on Earth, then?

Hmmm. It's probably hard to tell much from only a few people. On the other hand, at least there doesn't seem to be that many places like this one.

Perhaps there are. Perhaps there aren't. But this is at least the fourth one that I"m aware of. And given the multiverse really is a multitude, they could be countless.

But since you implied so well, I'll try and be positive?
